A Soul for Sale on eBay with too much P&P! :D

    By DBL | December 18, 2008

In my usual eBay email this morning for my favourite search for eBayana came up with this listing for a Lancashire lad’s Soul for Sale on eBay. Why it was in the eBayana category I don’t know.

At a bargain start price of 99p the description reads:

Hi my name is SCOTT RILEY and I am selling my soul through ebay. You may think im weird but this is for real. If you are the special person that buys my soul you shall recieve a special certificate confirming the purchase of SCOTT RILEY’S soul and also a signed framed photo of SCOTT RILEY.

Now, apart from the fact that selling ones soul on eBay not being a good idea (you never know the consequences right?) the fact that Mr Riley has not read Anoraks selling tips regarding a good keyworded title and using a spellchecker are something else.

Would ‘Old Nic’ search eBay for ‘a persons soul’ or maybe he collects eBayana too and therefore would get it in his inbox?

Anorak thinks 99p is a bit of ‘short change’ for your soul and an eternity in hell, but you have to consider encouraging bidder interest with a low start price after all don’t you?

One thing is very very wrong here … and that is the extortionate P&P cost for the certificate and photo postage, £5.95 is a bit steep and will have dire consequences on his DSR for P&P costs (when they’re visible). An eternity in hell is one thing, low DSR’s are something else LOL.

The feedback for this listing would be interesting to say the least and on a paypal only listing I’d like to see the reason on the Paypal ‘Significantly not as Described’ chargeback.

Anorak wants to know what you think is a fair price for a persons soul and if you really can sell your soul on eBay, or maybe has it gone already if you think it is of a saleable nature?

    Over to you 😉
